Yoga is believed to have originated in India. In the sanskrit language yoga means to join or unite.
Yoga is a practice that believes that the mind, body, and breath are connected and affect one another. When our minds are full of stress it manifests on the body as tension. Hatha yoga uses the body as a tool to affect the mind. By focusing on relaxing the physical body- we can in turn relax our minds and start to deepen our experiences.
